Whatever your event – wedding reception and ceremony, birthday or engagement party, wedding anniversary, corporate hospitality or presentation, Christmas party or wake – we’ll help to make it special.
We have six private dining rooms to choose from, or you can book exclusive use of our Indigo Restaurant. All are conveniently located on the ground floor with easy accessibility and can accommodate from four to 150 guests. You and your guests can also enjoy the use of our Indigo lounge and bar throughout your event.
To ensure your day goes smoothly and all your bespoke requirements are met, one of our managers, Richard or Simon, will meet with you beforehand. They’ll be your sole point of contact for the planning. And on the day of your event, our Restaurant Manager will be present to ensure that everything is exactly as you wish.
All dishes are created from scratch by our chefs, using only the best seasonal fresh ingredients, and will be of the same culinary standard and presentation of those enjoyed in our AA Rosette-awarded Indigo Restaurant. If any of your guests have special dietary requirements, let us know beforehand and we’ll be happy to cater for them.
All private rooms have their own exclusive sound system, enabling you to play your own choice of music if you wish. Or, if you prefer, we can provide suitable background music. You are welcome to arrange your own entertainment, such as a disco or band, or we can organise this for you on your behalf. Our contacts include magicians, professional musicians and singers, photo booth and casino companies and even pickpockets! (Please note that all music must end by midnight at the latest.)
If your guests will be arriving by car, we can arrange preferential parking rates in Steyne Gardens or at the High Street Multi-Storey car park.
Wedding receptions and ceremonies
Due to the size and style of our hotel and restaurant, we’re the perfect venue for small, intimate wedding celebrations. We have a Civil Ceremonies Licence for up to 70 guests and are able to offer a comprehensive range of bespoke sit-down and buffet menus for your wedding breakfast and evening reception.
In addition to bands and DJs, we can help suggest florists, cake suppliers and photographers if you need. Either Richard or Simon (the fourth generation of the family to have owned the Ardington since 1928) will personally help you plan your special day, and will do their utmost to ensure it’s a day you’ll treasure forever.
